![]() #Athletic training boc professionalConclusion: When accepting students into and athletic training education program, administrators should observe student applications for trends of overall academic and professional success versus using a checklist to exclude student who do not meet all standards. Beta coefficients showed trends for each independent variable. Beta coefficients will be used to determine the magnitude of prediction for each independent variable. Results reveal that when entered together, none of the independent variables/predictors were statistically significant predictors of the dependent variable of first time BOC national exam first-time pass rate for programs (all p values were >0.05). Multiple regression analyses were conducted to address the first and second research questions: do athletic training education program prerequisite requirements have a predictive relationship to BOC national exam first-time pass rates? And, which prerequisite requirements have the strongest relationship? A multiple regression analysis is used to predict values of a dependent variable based upon independent variables. Measurements and Results: Correlation was determined to be the appropriate statistical analysis to address the first research question: do athletic training education program prerequisite requirements have a predictive relationship to BOC national exam first-time pass rates? The program prerequisite requirements did not have statistically significant predictive relationships to BOC national exam first-time pass rates. Sampling of the population was not necessary because data on all programs was available on university websites and through CAATE public statistics at the time of data collection.
