Mu tron battery buddy portable#The Mu-Tron BatteryBuddy is the rechargeable and portable 9-volt power supply designed for quick setup and tear-down. If you like to play 16th and 32nd notes and your filter just can’t keep up, this may be the one for you.Īlso included: Mu-Tron PS-2 BatteryBuddy Rechargeable 9-Volt Power Supply The “Blue” Opto-Mod has a much steeper Attack and Release and is more suitable for fast, “Jaco” style bass playing. This unit models an older Mu-Tron III which has drifted out of factory calibration. Also, in the “Vintage Mu-Tron pre-amp jumper mode,” the Red Opto-Mod can get a little grittier. The “Red” Opto-Mod, has a slightly slower attack and decay time, which offers a longer “curve.” It is a bit chewier and is great for slower, swampy types of music. This is the stock Opto-Mod that comes in all Micro-Tron IV. It produces a very pleasing, general-purpose “curve” which works well in all settings. We designed the “Gold” Opto-Mod to behave like the vintage Hamamatsu 0805a photo-coupler found in the vintage Mu-Tron III pedals. With the new Opto-Mod modules, we are able to precisely calibrate every unit to the same Mu-Tron standard of perfection. Unfortunately, not all of these photo-couplers behaved the same and depending on what other components had drifted from their stated values, some units were magical and others were lackluster. For many years, the performance of any given Mu-Tron III was based on the electrical performance of the photo-couplers which were used to give the devices their unique and expressive feel. The new Mu-Tron Opto-Mod, swappable technology allows you to change the overall ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) characteristics of your Micro-Tron IV. We have also added standard CV input to accept an expression pedal such as the Dunlop DVP4 without modification! Furthermore, you can send envelope Control Voltage to other units such as the Phasor III and Bi-Phase pedals. It’s never been easier to cruise down “Shakedown Street” or get to “Higher Ground” – the Micro-Tron IV sounds amazing on guitar, bass, keys, horns, harmonica… you name it! The new Micro-Tron IV is based upon the award winning Micro-Tron III and improves it with our very own MU Opto-Mod technology. We’ve also added an OUTPUT level control and the ability to footswitch select between UP and DOWN drives. The Micro-Tron IV provides all the classic Jerry tone and Bootsy funk, in a pedalboard-friendly size and powered by industry-standard 9V DC. The NEW Micro-Tron IV is the newest reincarnation of the classic Mu-Tron III™ envelope filter. I've never seen a Microtron IV for sale with all original packaging, box, as well as all the upgrades that were made and sold specifically for this pedal. Also, for the lo-fi underwater dub sound you will need to put the space echo into the master bus, adjust the sound so that inputs are all the way up into the reverb/echo, while the dry sound is turned down, but at the same the the reverb and echo volume should be turned to a low level so that snare drums and such do not "explode" or "shotgun." The main idea is to immerse all of the sounds in the reverb and/or echo, without creating any overt effects."The ONLY analog envelope filter that tops the modern version of the Mu-Tron III, as it has been upgraded with many more ways to customize the perfect tone!" Tip for those interested: don't apply these plugins directly to an instrument or audio track, but run it through an AUX return/send, because they tend to work very differently according to input & output levels which you will need to fine-tune. If you combine that with GSi's Roland Space Echo plugin (or better the UAD version), you may have a chance to reproduce that Lee Perry Black Ark sound in a digital context. Audio Damage has a plugin that does a great job of emulating the original Bi-Phase, though like any emulator it is not really the same thing at all.
